Myrtle Beach Mutiny midfielder Aksel Juul has been named the eighth Mitre National Player of the Week for the 2015 NPSL season.
The Newcastle, England native and Wingate University standout tallied two goals and an assist in the Mutiny’s 4-3 win over FC Carolina Discoveries. This was his NPSL debut.
“I am very excited for Aksel and the Mutiny on a great start to the season and glad to see Aksel is playing and making an impact at the NPSL level,” Wingate University men’s soccer head coach Gary Hamill commented.
Juul registered eight goals and one assist during the 2014 collegiate season while starting 18 games. He would appear in a total of 20 games, tallying 17 points from 37 shots.
He appeared in 16 contests during his freshman season at Wingate, logging two goals and one assist.
