The National Premier Soccer League is proud to announce its third National Player of the Week for the 2013 regular season.

The winner, for the week ending April 21st, is FC Santa Clarita Storm forward Andres Bueno.

Bueno scored a brace in Santa Clarita’s 2-1 win over the San Diego Flash.

He is best known for his time at College of the Canyons, where he tallied 24 goals and 10 assists in 2009.  Bueno would find similar success in 2010, scoring 14 goals and adding 11 assists at the collegiate level.  He would also find himself on the PDL Team of the Week during his time with the Lancaster Rattlers.

In 2011 Bueno would go on trial with the USL’s LA Blues.  He would also earn his “E” coaching license.

This season Bueno provides the Storm with a flexible scoring punch, someone who is able to play as a striker or attacking midfielder.

The award, voted on by media from across the country, is part of the league’s commitment to honoring players, coaches, and staff for their exemplary work.  The announcement is made on Fridays during the regular season exclusively on NPSL social media.
