FIFA 22 Raises the Level of the Beautiful Game

Home/Esports, Product News and Reviews/FIFA 22 Raises the Level of the Beautiful Game

EA Sports’ latest offering, FIFA 22, is truly a beautiful game.  A number of improvements across every area of FIFA 22 make this one of the best soccer games of all-time.  This is not the status quo, but rather a massive reset.  This is a game that looks and feels different.

HyperMotion increases the realism and fluidity of all gameplay.  Whether it is a corner kick, key pass, or a shot in extra time, HyperMotion makes the user experience that much better.  Explosive Sprint, an updated goalkeeper system, and improved ball physics are all key additions.

Career Mode feels more like the EA Sports’ Dynasty Mode of yesteryear with so many options to extend the game’s replay value.  Creating your own team is easy as you please, while playing as an individual player continues to offer a unique experience.

Volta and FIFA Ultimate Team also saw some improvements, providing players with different experiences that could easily be standalone games or DLC.

The greatest improvements have come by way of Pro Clubs, which happens to be our favorite part of any FIFA game.  Pro Clubs is one of the most underappreciated modes but the one with the greatest potential.  The mode allows players to be part of massive leagues with real players, providing a true experience of teamwork, strategy, and skill.

We enlisted the assistance of Arron Dellosa, CEO of Virtual Pro Gaming, Inc. and EA Game Changer for Pro Clubs, to get an expert’s view of all the changes behind FIFA 22.

Dellosa saw many improvements in this year’s game.

“My favorite positive changes in FIFA 22 are the ball physics, the way it moves is a big improvement from the previous games,” Dellosa said. “The gameplay is the best we have seen in a long time for Pro Clubs, which focuses on the buildup play, timing the passes to perfection. This is what Pro Clubs is about focusing on these areas where players can play together in a more realistic way.”

He believes that those improvements have made the Pro Clubs mode that much better.

“The developments that have made Pro Clubs stronger in FIFA 22 is the game play and the support directly from EA to improve this mode,” Dellosa added. “EA listens to our feedback in weekly calls and works on the areas that needs to be improved.  Having that connection with EA is important to continue turning Pro Clubs into a global phenomenon.”

Dellosa has been looking forward to FIFA 22 for quite some time.

“I was looking forward to playing Pro Clubs with all my friends, giving my feedback on all areas of the game,” Dellosa remarked. “With thousands of new animations added into the new generation experience it’s a totally different game and a message to new players, who haven’t tried pro clubs yet, give it a go.  It is the best and most fun game mode on FIFA.”

His optimism for esports and the future of Pro Clubs is quite extraordinary.

“The reason why I run competitive leagues for pro clubs is that I believe pro clubs will be the biggest football/soccer esport in the world, long-term,” Dellosa noted.

This positive outlook is a big reason why Pro Clubs has become a favorite of so many across the globe.  Players from the U.S. and Canada can be actual teammates with those from Central America and South America.  The only restraint is the time zone where players originate from.

FIFA 22 is a must-have for any gamer or soccer fan.  It offers the deepest gameplay experience, providing players with literally hundreds or even thousands of hours of entertainment.  Given that, it is also one of the biggest bargains in all of gaming.

It is certainly better than FIFA 20 or FIFA 21, products that faced stiff competition from Konami and the PES series.  Konami has made changes of their own, opting for a free-to-play model that didn’t have the smoothest of launches.
