Three goals by freshman Aaron Liezert in the first half led to a 3-1 victory over Baldwin Wallace in an Ohio Athletic Conference game Tuesday at Mount Union Stadium.

The Purple Raiders advance to 7-6, 1-3 in the OAC, on the year while the Yellow Jackets fall to 6-8-1, 2-1-1 in the OAC.

Aaron Liezert scored his first goal of the game off a through ball from fellow freshman Trever Wendel at the 12 minute mark.

Liezert found the net again after finishing a crossed ball from senior Jack Weber two and a half minutes later advancing the Raider lead, 2-0.

Liezert finished out his hat trick scoring his third goal of the game on a free kick from 45 yards out sending the ball to the upper 90 past the Yellow Jackets goal keeper making the halftime score 3-0, Raiders.

Baldwin Wallace scored with five minutes remaining in the second half making the final score 3-1 as the Yellow Jackets outshot the Raiders 16-7.

Mount Union next travels to Heidelberg for an OAC match Saturday, Oct. 18 at 2 pm.
