The Mount Union men’s soccer team gets their first victory of the 2013 campaign as they defeated Geneva (Pa.) 2-1 on Friday afternoon at Carnegie Mellon (Pa.) University’s opening weekend tournament.

Garrett Masters collected a diagonal ball from Jeremy Troutman to put Geneva up 1-0 at the 4:32 mark over the Purple Raiders. The Raiders wasted no time to even the score at one as Chris Felker found the back of the net on a pass from Tom Beck.

Felker would net his second goal of the game and of the first half off a pass from Coty Lipply.

Getting the start in the net for the Raiders was Alex Bable who faced 18 shots and made four saves against the Golden Tornadoes.
