Sophomore forward Shannon Evans had the lone goal for Mount Union in a 2-1 Ohio Athletic Conference loss to Capital Saturday at Mount Union Stadium.
The Purple Raiders fall to 10-4-1 overall and 3-2-0 in the OAC while the Crusaders improve to 10-3-1 overall and 3-1-0.
Evans goal came in the 36th minute off a pass from Kelsey Malenic which would hold for the remainder of the first half and well into the second.
The Crusaders would notch two goals in a span of two minutes. Jamie Murrary would tie the game in the 79th minute before Becca Cartmill scored the go ahead goal for the Crusaders in the 81st minute.
Mount Union hosts Muskingum Tuesday, October 22 at 7 pm in an Ohio Athletic Conference matchup.
