Mount Union blanked Waynesburg 5-0 Saturday at Mount Union Stadium. The Purple Raiders advanced to 5-2 on the season while the Yellow Jackets fell to 3-2-2. Mount Union’s women’s soccer team scored a 2-0 shutout over tournament host Fredonia (N.Y.) to win the championship of the Blue Devil Clarion Classic Saturday in Fredonia, N.Y. A goal by Kelsey Malenic with less than two minutes to go in the game propelled the Mount Union women’s soccer team to a 2-1 victory over Oswego State (N.Y.) in game one of the Blue Devil Clarion Classic. Mount Union women’s soccer team defeated D’Youville (N.Y.) Sunday afternoon 2-1 in the home opener of the 2014 season. The first goal of the 2014 season for the Raiders went to senior Allison Fouss at the 42:58 mark of the first half. Mount Union’s women’s soccer team scored a 2-0 shutout at Waynesburg in the final non-conference game of the season Saturday in Waynesburg, Pa.
