Home/Growing the Game/Tickets Selling at Rapid Pace for Brazil vs. Honduras Match at Sun Life Stadium

Tickets for the highly anticipated soccer match between Brazil vs. Honduras scheduled for 7 p.m., Saturday, November 16 at Sun Life Stadium are selling at a rapid pace.  Both $35 and $45 tickets have already sold out to see the matchup between these two World Cup qualifiers.

“Tickets are pacing faster than any previous soccer match at Sun Life Stadium, including Barcelona, Spain vs. Haiti, and the International Champions Cup,” stated Todd Boyan, Senior Vice President of Sun Life Stadium Operations.  “It is clear that people are not waiting until the last minute to get their tickets for this match.”

It took only 17 minutes before the $35 tickets were gone when they went on sale on Thursday, October 10.  The $45 tickets sold out early Wednesday morning following Honduras’ qualification for the World Cup after their game against Jamaica.  Fans can purchase the remaining tickets at Ticketmaster.com or by calling the stadium box office at (305) 943-6311.

Brazil and Honduras are two of the 32 teams that have qualified for the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil to be played next summer.  This marks only the third time in their nation’s history that Honduras has qualified for a World Cup.  Honduras previously qualified for the 1982 World Cup in Spain and the 2010 World Cup in South Africa.

The matchup between Brazil and Honduras at Sun Life Stadium will feature the best players from each country, amongst them Neymar, Oscar, Hulk, David Luiz, Marcelo and  Dani Alves for the Brazilians and Carlo Costly, Maynor Figueroa, Roger Espinoza, Noel Valladares, Wilson Palacios and Victor Bernardez for the Catrachos.
