While a good portion of the rugby community acknowledges that such a match is a necessary developmental growing pain for USA Rugby, another cross section of rugby supporters don’t find much solace in moral victories and were vocal about that from pubs to online forums where rugby fans gather.
Nearly 40,000 in attendance at FedEx Field in Washington DC watched a clinic in international rugby put on by the All Blacks. A formidable number of those were there more to watch the spectacle that is New Zealand rugby than anything else, adorned in their team’s familiar look . The All Blacks showed why they are the best squad on the planet, unfortunately this time at the expense of the host nation.
