KONAMI Signs Exclusive Partnership with Colo-Colo for PES 2018

Award-Winning Franchise also Adds Universidad de Chile In-Game, Introduces Chilean Commentary Team, and Names Iván Luis Zamorano and Marcelo Salas as New PES Legends

Konami Digital Entertainment, Inc. announced today that it has entered into an exclusive agreement with one of Chile’s top football clubs, Colo-Colo. The partnership awards KONAMI with exclusive in-game licensing rights, positioning PES 2018 to be the only video game where fans can play with the esteemed football club. Additionally, KONAMI signed a licensing agreement with another leading football team, Universidad de Chile, allowing fans to play with all 16 licensed Chilean teams in the first division of the Chilean football league in PES 2018.

Further enhancing the full football experience, KONAMI has added Claudio Palma and Aldo Schiappacasse as the new Chilean commentary team to PES 2018. With more than 20 years of radio and television broadcast announcing, Palma is one of the most recognizable voices in Chilean football. His expert analysis paired with Schiappacasse’s renowned play-by-play will be strong additions to PES 2018.

Iván Luis Zamorano and Marcelo Salas (aka “El Matador”) are also the latest PES Legends from Chile to be announced. Known for his prolific striking and scoring abilities for top international clubs as well as the Chilean National team, Zamorano has become the pride of Chilean football with his strength and on-point aerial play.  In addition, as one of Chile’s highest national team goal-scorers of all time and former South American Footballer of the Year, Salas will be bringing his deft touch and athletic prowess to the pitch in PES 2018. Both will be unlockable players to use exclusively in MyClub.

Centered on the concept that PES 2018 is “Where Legends are Made,” the new game boasts more new features and enhancements than any PES title in the last 10 years. The series’ award-winning gameplay offers total control over the on-field action, as players are guided to behave, move and react just like their real-life counterparts. New additions to the control systems add more fluidity to the game, while a new user interface makes accessing the many facets of the game a simpler process. KONAMI has also confirmed that the PC edition of the game will enjoy total parity with that of the leading console iterations.

PES 2018 also introduces new co-operative 2-Vs-2 and 3-Vs-3 modes with support for local guests. The much-requested ‘Random Selection’ match returns with all new content, while the Master League implements pre-season tournaments, a new transfer system and pre-match interviews and an insight to the changing rooms. Similarly, ahead of next season’s eSport tournament, the official PES LEAGUE has been integrated into the main game.

PES 2018 will be available on September 12^th in the Americas and September 14^th globally on PlayStation®4, Xbox One™, PlayStation®3 and Xbox360™. The game will also be available via PC Steam in a version that has undergone substantial improvements in terms of aesthetics and content, ensuring the game enjoys parity with the current gen formats.
