Crew Stadium To Host Inaugural Breakaway Music Festival on September 14

Columbus Crew Stadium and Prime Social Group today announced details of the inaugural Breakaway Music Festival, an all-new concert series presented at Major League Soccer stadiums across the country. Breakaway Music Festival will kick-off on Saturday, September 14 at Columbus Crew Stadium in Columbus, Ohio.  Pre-sale tickets will be available athttp://www.breakawayfestival.com beginning Tuesday, June 18 at 11:00 a.m. ET and general on-sale tickets will then get underway on Friday, June 21 at 11:00 a.m. ET.

The lineup will feature a diverse roster, including Bassnectar, Empire of the Sun, Kendrick Lamar, Columbus’ own Twenty One Pilots, Porter Robinson, Tokyo Police Club, Schoolboy Q, Robert DeLong, American Authors, LA Riots, Stalley, Shreddie Mercury and more. The festival will also feature local acts CJ the DJ & Freaky Franz, Evan Oberla Project, Forest and the Evergreens, Jared Mahone, Kid Runner, Post Coma Network and more.

“We are very excited to bring a new type of music festival to the city of Columbus through our co-promotion with Prime Social Group,” said Mark McCullers, President and General Manager of the Columbus Crew.

Each large-scale event in the series will feature a genre-busting multi-artist bill spanning indie, EDM, pop, hip-hop and beyond. Each festival date will feature a strong local component, highlighting a thriving local music scene. It’s “Your Field. Your Fest.”

“Prime Social Group is excited to launch this incredible new festival in Columbus. We are particularly thrilled to bridge the gap between sports culture and the music world with Breakaway,” said Prime Social Group Manager Partner Adam Lynn. “I believe this event will break new ground and it’s going to attract music fans from all over.”

The Breakaway Music Festival will visit FC Dallas Stadium on Sept. 21.
