Admiral Sports is proud to announce that they have signed a partnership agreement with Tulsa Roughnecks FC, one that will see the USL PRO team outfitted in Admiral.

We know that they will bring tremendous sports entertainment to the Tulsa market and we will be there to help support them every step of the way.”
This is a reunion for the two sides as Admiral supplied the original Roughnecks with kit in 1978-1979 when that team was part of the first North American Soccer League (NASL). The Roughnecks were the talk of the town, winning the Soccer Bowl in 1983 thanks to the likes of Victor Moreland, Njego Pesa, and Barry Wallace.
“The Tulsa Roughnecks FC organization is excited to partner with such a trusted kit provider in Admiral Sports,” Tulsa Roughnecks FC General Manager Mike Melega added. “Admiral is one of the most famous names in soccer apparel. Our fans voted to bring back the Roughnecks name to honor Tulsa’s soccer tradition and now we now can bring back the brand that outfitted Tulsa’s legendary original Roughnecks when they began play in 1978. We look forward to working with Paul and his team to bring the new Roughnecks brand to life for our fans, on and off the pitch.”
Admiral is a legendary brand, having been worn by some of the biggest names in the sporting world. The England National Team, Manchester United, and the New York Cosmos are just some of the clubs that once donned Admiral. In fact, Admiral has supplied most of the current English Premier League (EPL) teams in addition to being the largest brand in the original NASL. Tulsa Roughnecks FC will begin play in the ever-expanding USL PRO in 2015. They will play their home matches at ONEOK Field, which is also home to the Tulsa Drillers.
