The Cincinnati Dutch Lions FC concluded a successful open tryout this weekend as over 65 players participated in the event at Seven Hills High School in Cincinnati.
“I am very pleased with the professionalism of the organization on and off the field: from the presentation to the players, to the support of the Dayton Dutch Lions FC Head Coach Sid van Druenen, and the staff members that put this all together,” Cincinnati Dutch Lions Head Coach Terry Nicholl stated.
The players came from major college programs like Xavier University, University of Cincinnati, Northern Kentucky University, Southern Indiana University, Marshall University, Wright State University, Bowling Green University, and the University of Notre Dame. Participants also hailed from local clubs like Cincinnati United, Ohio Elite, and Kings Hammer.
“They showed up with good energy and the right mentality. We had to make some tough decisions, but we finally want to see 36 players at the invitational on top of 40 players that already were invited,” Nicholl added.
The invite-only tryout will take place on April 18th and 19th at the Hillsdale Campus of Seven Hills High School.
