Creswick tallied two goals and one assist for Stockade FC to lead them to a 3-0 win over New York Athletic Club on May 29th.

“For a club in its first season, it’s a huge honor to have Michael Creswick named NPSL Player of the Week this early on,” Stockade FC General Manager Randy Kim commented. “He’s a very gifted forward who can impact a match with his aerial abilities, ball-handling and precise finishing, but he’s also a great teammate who works hard on defense and is extremely unselfish in the final third. The entire Kingston Stockade FC organization couldn’t be any happier for Michael.”

The Newcastle-upon-Tyme, England native has played professional and semi-professionally in both England and Australia. Creswick spent time at Newcastle United Academy, Sunbury United, and Heaton Stannington in addition to both York St. John and Melbourne University.

“It’s always nice to receive personal accolades, but really it represents the way my teammates are playing at the moment,” Creswick added. “Recent results show that our high level has put me in positions to score and be successful. Hopefully we can continue to go on a good run of results.”

The Mitre National Player of the Week is announced every Friday during the regular season. The winner of this national honor is determined by a vote of media members from across the country.
