Saturday’s trip to the nation’s capital didn’t go as the Columbus Crew SC had planned as they fell 2-0 to D.C. United. The home side got goals from Fabian Espindola and Sean Franklin, two MLS stalwarts. The first came in the 15th minute as Chris Rolfe set up Espindola for the goal.
Over 25 minutes later, Espindola returned the favor, earning an assist on a Franklin goal.
Crew SC returns to the pitch on Saturday, May 9 when it faces Seattle Sounders FC at MAPFRE Stadium (7:30 p.m. ET / Time Warner Cable SportsChannel, CD102.5, 103.1 La Mega).
