Dutch Lions Fall to Sacramento Sunday

Editor May 25, 2014

The Dayton Dutch Lions struggled again with their home form, falling 2-1 to the Sacramento Republic FC on Sunday.

Crew loanees Brad Stuver, Matt Walker, and Aaron Schoenfeld were once again instrumental with Schoenfeld getting the home team’s lone goal in the 43rd minute.

“We did have some good possession and chances at the end when we added some extra forwards, but we were unable to get the win,” Dayton Dutch Lions FC head coach Sid van Druenen commented. “It’s important for us to keep believing in what we are doing and it’s just a matter of time before we will start getting the wins.”

The Dayton Dutch Lions (2-5-2) will play the Rochester Rhinos (3-2-4) at home at DOC Stadium on Sunday, June 1st at 7 pm.
