San Diego Flash defender Nick Hamilton has been named the third Mitre National Player of the Week for the 2015 NPSL season.
Hamilton was honored after scoring two goals in the Flash’s 3-1 win over FC Force.
“Nick was flawless on our back line and was an asset at both ends of the field,” Flash head coach Warren Barton said of Hamilton’s performance on Saturday.
The Coronado, CA native was a standout at Cal State Northridge from 2007-2011. His best season came in 2011 when he was named to the All-Big West Second Team.
Hamilton also spent time with two USL clubs after college, landing with the LA Blues and Minnesota Stars before playing for Woden Valley Football Club in Australia. He would return to the San Diego area in 2013 to play for his hometown NPSL club, the San Diego Flash.
