KONAMI Partners with Argentine Football Association and Confirms New Argentine Commentators for PES 2018

Konami Digital Entertainment, Inc. announces today its partnership with the Argentine Football Association (AFA). The license agreement will see all clubs in the Primera División of the AFA faithfully recreated in PES 2018, as well as allow KONAMI marketing rights for various promotional activities.

KONAMI also confirms Rodolfo De Paoli and Diego Latorre as new Argentine commentators in PES 2018. Both DePaoli and Latorre will bring an enhanced realism and authenticity to PES through their animated commentary and expert analysis during matches. De Paoli is a former footballer who is currently an Argentine sports coach and notable journalist. He presently serves as reporter on “Fútbol Para Todos” on Telefe, as well as provides commentary on Argentina national football matches for TyC Sports. Latorre, who is also known as “Gambeta,” is a former Argentine professional footballer, known for his distinguished positions as a striker and an offensive midfield playmaker. Latorre is currently a sportscaster for Fox Sports Latinoamérica.

Centered on the concept that PES 2018 is “Where Legends are Made,” the new game boasts more new features and enhancements than any PES title in the last 10 years. The series’ award-winning gameplay offers total control over the on-field action, as players are guided to behave, move and react just like their real-life counterparts. New additions to the control systems add more fluidity to the game, while a new user interface makes accessing the many facets of the game a simpler process. KONAMI has also confirmed that the PC edition of the game will enjoy total parity with that of the leading console iterations.

PES 2018 also introduces new co-operative 2-Vs-2 and 3-Vs-3 modes with support for local guests. The much-requested ‘Random Selection’ match returns with all new content, while the Master League implements pre-season tournaments, a new transfer system and pre-match interviews and an insight to the changing rooms. Similarly, ahead of next season’s eSport tournament, the official PES LEAGUE has been integrated into the main game.
