Liverpool F.C. Legends join PES 2018

Editor September 15, 2017

Konami Digital Entertainment, Inc. has announced that five former Liverpool stars including Steven Gerrard will join the roster of Legends available in PES 2018.

In addition to the current Liverpool legends, Robbie Fowler, Michael Owen, and Ian Rush, this year PES fans will also be able to choose from:

  • Steven Gerrard
  • Steve McManaman
  • Kevin Keegan
  • John Barnes
  • And more to be announced soon!

Through an extension of the official partnership, KONAMI will get unrivalled access to work with Liverpool FC to ensure their players and stadium are brought to life in the game and will also work together on future promotional activities.

KONAMI will also enjoy access to upcoming LFC talent for a much more realistic LFC experience in PES 2018 including head scanning sessions for the LFC squad, coupled with stadium capture sessions to help enhance the PES player experience when playing at Anfield. KONAMI will also see their LED promotion increase around Anfield as well as continued online and social support from LFC.

The agreement comes as KONAMI looks to expand its list of licences and partners to give PES fans the best possible playing experience.

“KONAMI is committed to working with the very best in football, and Liverpool FC is the perfect partner to do so,” explained Jonas Lygaard, Senior Director of Brand and Business Development at Konami Digital Entertainment B.V. “With its rich history, huge fan base and dynamic style of play, we are thrilled to continue working together with the club and will ensure that the best of both the past and present of Liverpool FC are perfectly reproduced in PES 2018.”

PES 2018 is available now on PlayStation®4, Xbox One™, PlayStation®3 and Xbox360™. The game is also available via Steam in a version that has undergone substantial improvements in terms of aesthetics and content, ensuring the game enjoys parity with the current gen formats.
