The National Premier Soccer League (NPSL) is proud to announce that Magia FC (Miami Gardens, FL) has joined the league as an expansion team. The club will begin competition in the South Region in 2022.
“The NPSL continues to invest in and attract new teams to the Sunshine Conference,” NPSL Managing Director Cindy Spera said. “Magia FC is coming into the league with a unique development model for players, an experienced management team, and a proven history of success in the soccer business.”
The club is led by President and Owner Carlos Andres Piedrahita Ocoró, Vice President Raymundo Van Hemelrijck, Executive Manager and Marketing Director Gladys Tamara Vargas Garcia, and Manager of Sport Development and Management Victor Hugo Marulanda.
Ocoró is a former professional soccer player best known as “Magia”. He has been dedicated to the administrative side of the game for more than 15 years with studies in international commerce and accounting. Van Hemelrijck was a business administrator at the University of Lima before forming a mortgage loan company called Ameristar Properties in the city of Corona, CA.
Garcia is a Venezuelan entrepreneur and businesswoman living in the United States. Marulanda is a Colombian businessman and former soccer player. He is an industrial engineer by trade and specializes in business administration and sports management.

Home matches will be played at the Betty T. Ferguson Recreational Complex in Miami Gardens.
