Manchester City Announces Roster for 2014 Guinness International Cup

Manchester City today announced its roster for the 2014 Guinness International Cup.  The roster for the defending Premier League Champions features the club’s top stars including Yaya Toure, David Silva, Edin Dzeko and Joe Hart as well as new signings Fernando and Willy Caballero.

As part of the club’s first participation in the Guinness International Champions Cup, Manchester City will face A.C. Milan on July 27 at Heinz Field in Pittsburgh, Liverpool at Yankee Stadium in New York on July 30 and

Olympiacos on August 2 at TCF Bank Field in Minneapolis.

The tournament final will be played on August 4 at Miami’s Sun Life Stadium.  Manchester City returns to the United States fresh off their second Premier League title in the last three years and returns much of the championship squad for the upcoming season.

Tickets are still available for Manchester City’s Guinness International Champions Cup matches at www.InternationalChampionsCup.com.

Following is the Manchester City roster for the tournament (Country represented for World Cup):

Goalkeepers: Joe Hart (England), Willy Caballero, Richard Wright, Ian Lawlor

Defenders: Micah Richards, Matthias Bossaerts, Jason Denayer, Karim Rekik, Matija Nastasic, Dedryck Boyata, Gael Clichy, Aleksandar Kolarov

Midfielders: Fernando, Samir Nasri, Scott Sinclair, Javi Garcia, Emyr Huws, Jack Rodwell, Bruno Zuculini, James Milner (England), David Silva (Spain), Jesus Navas, Yaya Toure (Ivory Coast)

Forwards: Alvaro Negredo, John Guidetti, Kelechi Ihenacho, Stevan Jovetic, Edin Dzeko (Bosnia and Herzegovina)
