Men’s College Soccer: Mount Union Defeated by Capital

Editor October 5, 2014

Mount Union’s men’s soccer team suffered a 2-0 lose in an Ohio Athletic Conference matchup against Capital Saturday, Oct. 4 at Mount Union Stadium.

The Purple Raiders are now 6-4 (0-1 OAC) on the year while the Crusaders advance to 6-4 (0-1 OAC) on the season.

Capital got on the board early in the first half with a goal by Josh Spaw. Capital again scored at the 12:47 mark giving them the 2-0 advantage heading into halftime.

A scoreless second half would give Capital the 2-0 victory.

Freshman Brian Strawser got the start for the Raiders making 5 saves with Capital outshooting the Raiders 13-6.

Mount Union continues OAC action when they take on Marietta Wednesday, Oct. 8 at 4 pm in Marietta.
