Men’s College Soccer: Mount Union Wins Fourth Straight Against Thiel, 2-1

The Mount Union men’s soccer team defeated Thiel College 2-1 on Tuesday night to notch their fourth straight win of the season.

Mount Union (5-2-1) struck first in the 37^th minute of the match on a goal by sophomore Jonathan Akindipe to put the Raiders up 1-0.

Thiel (2-8) came back to tie the game up in the 62^nd minute when Dominic Walker set up Zachary Oliver in the box to even the score at 1-1.

The Raiders scored the go ahead goal in the 78^th minute when sophomore Scotty Welker found the back of the net to give Mount Union a 2-1 lead.

Mount Union begins Ohio Athletic Conference play on Saturday, October 3 as they travel to Capital.
