Mount Union Men’s Soccer Shuts Out La Roche at Home

Mount Union’s men’s soccer team (3-4) beat La Roche (3-4) by a score of 3-0.

Senior Stephen Dages (Uniontown/Akron St.Vincent-St.Mary) led the way for the Purple Raiders with two goals and an assist on the night.

The Raiders got on the board in the 10th minute on a goal from sophomore Brian Belz (North Royalton/North Royalton) on the assist from Dages to make the score 1-0 at half.

Dages got the scoring going in the second half as he scored an unassisted goal in the 53rd minute. The final goal of the night was scored in the 69th minute by Dages on an assist from freshman Ramon Bajeca (Middletown/Middletown).

Sophomore goalkeeper Zach Hlas (Strongsville/Strongsville) played all 90 minutes and faced three shots while not allowing a single goal.

The Raiders will be back on the pitch Wednesday, September 27 at home against Oberlin at 7:30 p.m.
