The Mount Union women’s soccer team ended Saturday evening’s game against tournament host Fredonia State (N.Y.) in a draw.
The Purple Raiders and the Blue Devils are now 1-1-1 all-time in series play against each other.
Junior Nicole Moldovan struck first for the Raiders when she took a pass from junior Amanda Tamerlano in the 7th minute. Moldovan would then score again in the 23rd minute off of a pass from junior Jessica Finkler.
The Blue Devils’ Alexis Moreland and Kristie Kleine would score 2 minutes apart from each other to tie the Raiders at 2 apiece in 32 and 34 minutes of play of the first half. The Raiders and Devils would go into halftime tied 2-2.
12 minutes into the second half, junior Gina Wall would give the Raiders the 3-2 lead before Shannon Letina would match that goal at the 58:02 mark.
Junior Maria Favorite improved to 3-0-1 as she recorded 11 saves on the night. Mount Union outshot Fredonia on the night, 23-16 in a two overtime draw.
