The Mount Union women’s soccer team fell in overtime by a 1-0 score to Grove City (PA) College on Wednesday afternoon in Grove City.
The Purple Raiders are now 6-2-1 on the season, while the Wolverines improve to 3-4-1.
After two 45 minute halves of scoreless action, it would be Sarah Cessar who would score in the 99th minute to push Grove City over Mount Union.
Junior Maria Favorite faced 20 shots on goal and had eight saves on the day.
Mount Union returns to action Saturday, Sept. 28 at 1 p.m. when they travel to Waynesburg, PA and face-off against Waynesburg.
