MU Women’s Soccer Handed First OAC Loss by John Carroll

The Mount Union women’s soccer team was dealt their first conference loss to host John Carroll, 1-0, in an Ohio Athletic Conference match at Don Shula Stadium.

The Purple Raiders fall to 10-3-1 overall and 3-1-0 in the OAC while the Blue Streaks improve to 5-6-3 overall and 2-2-0 in the OAC.

The Blue Streaks leading scorer Nicki Bohrer would score the lone goal of the game in the 42nd minute.

Junior Maria Favorite faced six shots on goal and had five saves on the day.

Mount Union returns home Saturday, Oct. 19 at 1 pm to host Capital in the Kick Cancer fundraiser. The Crusaders are tied with the Raiders at No. 4 in this week’s NSCAA Great Lakes Region rankings.
