Real San Jose forward Danny Martinez was named the second Mitre National Player of the Week for the 2015 NPSL season. Martinez was honored after scoring two goals in RSJ’s 4-2 win over the SF Stompers.
“Danny has been part of Real San Jose since the beginning and it is great to see him playing so well and leading the younger guys on the team,” Real San Jose manager Nick Arellano commented. “He is working harder than I have seen before and I have known him since the age of three. Against San Francisco he scored to get us started and then again to get the game-winner.”
The veteran striker is entering his seventh season with San Jose. He is a prolific scorer, having scored two goals in U.S. Open Cup qualification and another three goals in league play this season.
