Sven: My Story by Sven-Göran Eriksson is an incredible story, one that is intensely personal. It covers the highs and lows of Eriksson’s career, from leading the English National Team and big clubs like Man City to being the subject of tabloids and paparazzi.

He doesn’t shy away from addressing his personal life or any trying moments in his career. You have to give him credit for doing that even though it had to be immensely difficult. He addresses his relationships, investment mistakes, and some unsavory sides of the game in a book that would rival some of today’s best reality shows.

Eriksson’s story is certainly one fitting of Horatio Alger, starting as a humble footballer in Sweden’s lower leagues and finishing as one of the world’s most recognized managers. Known for his innovative ideas with regards to the beautiful game, the mastermind was never far from controversy and rumor, the result of being under such a microscope.

Football fans will hang on his every word in the most intense and insightful football books we have ever seen. You truly see behind the glitz and glamour of world football to see what it really takes to be a world-class manager on the biggest stage. It involves, at times, giving up everything you love to follow the game wherever it takes you. It involves balancing the impossible, family and personal life with the expectations that go with being a major force in a global game.

It is a “behind the scenes” journey that the reader is unlikely to forget.
