AFC Rushden & Diamonds are delighted to announce a football for all youth team setup from next season 2012-2013 after developing a partnership with South Rushden Junior Football Club. Local players will be able to have a clear progression all the way through the age groups to the senior team. In total there will be 22 youth teams, including girls teams and multi-disability teams. AFC Rushden and Diamonds U-18s played their historic first-ever match against a Raunds Town Reserves side at Kiln Park on Saturday, August 6th. In front of an impressive crowd of more than 350, the AFC R&D U-18 team managed by Mark Starmer, took a while to settle and found themselves 3-0 down at halftime.
