Detroit City FC is delighted to announce Manchester United legend Steve Coppell will join the commentating team for DCFC’s international friendly against FC United of Manchester on Saturday, May 28. Coppell, who made 395 appearances for Manchester United from 1975 to 1983, will be in the broadcast booth for the match, which will be live streamed at detcityfc.com, and for soon to be announced events around the match. University of Akron striker Thomas Schmitt scored the equalizing goal in the 86th minute to propel AFC Cleveland to a 1-1 road draw with Detroit City FC. Cleveland found themselves down 1-0 at the half after a goal from Detroit’s Stefan St. Louis in the 23rd minute. AFC fought back and claimed a goal of their own in the final moments of the game. A goal by Case Western Reserve striker Vinny Bell was enough to earn AFC Cleveland a 1-1 draw with Detroit City FC Saturday night.
