This past weekend, seventeen soccer players from the Louisville Lightning soccer program combined with the Louisville Soccer Alliance (LSA) to help earn the Men’s Open Championship and bragging rights among all Region II teams. A total of four teams based out of Louisville travelled to the Tournament of Champions in Fort Wayne, IN. We are only a few weeks into the PASL-Pro season, but there is a great deal to talk about. First and foremost, there is a lot of excitement surrounding the expansion franchises in Louisville, San Diego, and Cleveland/Canton (Ohio). The Louisville Lightning had a sellout for their first home match, which was a near miss against Cincinnati. This was followed up by a 8-3 drubbing of the Detroit Waza in front of another capacity crowd at Mockingbird Valley Soccer Club.
