When talking about the greatest members of the Columbus Crew, undoubtedly Guillermo Barros Schelotto will be in the conversation. Not only was Guillermo an ambassador for the Crew and the city of Columbus, but also won the MLS award as the Most Valuable Player in his first full season with the Crew, after a decade of playing with Argentinean giants Boca Juniors. Schelotto was not only a fan favorite, but also a mentor to younger players like Rogers and Lenhart. Schelotto

Always considered to be a leader on and off the field (and a first-class individual), Carroll was the first to head to the Nordecke to show his appreciation for the Crew’s most hardcore supporters. Congratulations to Frankie Hejduk of the Columbus Crew, who was named to the U.S. roster for the qualifiers against Honduras and Costa Rica. Hejduk is the heart and soul of the Crew and can provide a similar presence for the National Team. Frankie will provide veteran experience to a squad that is a few small steps from qualification for the 2010 World Cup.
