Volesky’s early goal stands up despite Hounds pressure The Pittsburgh Riverhounds put up a great fight against the defending champion Rochester Rhinos in their United Soccer League season opener Saturday night only to fall to Christian Volesky’s early goal. The Hounds responded with lengthy spells of possession and a succession of second-half chances without managing to find a way past Rhinos goalkeeper Adam

Gilstrap, a former keeper with the City Stars, is searching for options after his trial with Toronto FC ended without a contract. Both have the talent to play professionally, while Blades looks to be the best bet
Hotchkin and Gilstrap were named to Week 20 USL First Division Team of the Week. Both put in solid performances in Saturday’s victory over the Minnesota Thunder. Coach Rod Underwood said, “Getting two guys on the team is great news after a good result for us over the weekend.” We were surprised to see that striker Teteh Bangura was not given this honor after two weeks of spectacular play.
