NC Battalion goalkeeper James Stroud is looking for his first NPSL playoff win on Saturday. The NPSL veteran will make his third playoff game appearance on Saturday, his first with the Battalion, who made their NPSL debut this year. Stroud previously played for the San Diego Flash, making the playoffs twice with them. The NPSL’s West Region has completed yet another exciting and successful weekend of play. FC Hasental defeated FC Santa Clarita Storm 4-1 in their second game of the 2014 NPSL season. Two goals from Armando Gaitan as well as a goal a piece from Alberto Anguiano and Agustin Cazarez sealed the victory for the home side. “We lacked movement in the final third, but our buildup and consolidation play was fun to watch,” FCH head coach Eric Warner remarked.
