The winner, for the week ending April 14th, is Orange County Pateadores goalkeeper Jose Miranda. Miranda had a great night in goal on April 14th in a 2-0 win over the San Diego Flash. The former Cuban national team keeper’s performance stood out on a roster full of stars, including former Chivas USA and FC striker Maykel Galindo.
Saturday had four great matches for fans and supporters to enjoy in the NPSL West. Striker Tyler Coombes, the leading scorer for the Santa Clarita Storm in 2012 with 15 goals, scored the game-winner in Saturday’s 4-3 victory over Las Vegas Stallions FC. FC Hasental squeaked past San Diego Boca FC by a 5-4 margin, while CD Aguiluchos USA shutout the San Francisco Stompers 4-0 with a hat trick from striker Jorge Ruiz. Real San Jose had to settle for a 2-2
