Five NPSL Players Selected in MLS SuperDraft

Five players with NPSL experience were selected during the first two rounds of the 2015 MLS SuperDraft on Thursday. MLS Announces 2013 Allstate Goalkeeper of the Year

Major League Soccer today announced the 2013 Allstate Goalkeeper of the Year, which went to Donovan Ricketts of the Portland Timbers. Ricketts put together one of the most complete seasons in his five-year MLS career. In 2013, the Jamaican international goalkeeper set MLS career highs in shutouts (14), saves (92) and minutes played (2,880) in 32 matches with the Portland Timbers. The Portland Timbers have acquired the right of first refusal to midfielder Michael Nanchoff from Vancouver Whitecaps FC in exchange for a second-round pick in the 2015 MLS Supplemental Draft, it was announced today. Chivas USA announced today that the club has agreed to trade midfielder Ben Zemanski to the Portland Timbers in exchange for allocation money and the right of first refusal for former Chivas USA defender Jonathan Bornstein.
