Columbus Crew players and staff members took time out of their busy schedules today to prepare care packages for troops in Iraq and Afghanistan at the Operation Buckeye Headquarters.
Under the direction of the Operation Buckeye organization, players and staff helped stuff care packages full of food, snacks, personal hygiene items, reading materials and well-wishes.
Last year, almost 5,000 boxes were sent to the men and women of our Armed Forces. Since the founding of Operation Buckeye in 2005, more than 21,000 boxes have been sent.
Once again the Crew prove they are more than just a club. They are a caring and pivotal member of the Columbus community, an organization that prides itself on excellence on and off the pitch.
