Sporting made it four games without a loss, playing to a 1-1 draw midweek with Seattle Sounders FC on Wednesday evening. University of Akron striker Thomas Schmitt scored the equalizing goal in the 86th minute to propel AFC Cleveland to a 1-1 road draw with Detroit City FC. Coming into tonight there were some questions as to who the best team was in the W-League’s Eastern division. It took the D.C. United Women less than a half to put a stop to them. Matched up against the Fredericksburg Impact the game was never really in question as the United won 5-0 with all of their goals scored in the first half.
