The Spokane Shine have announced the addition of a pair of forwards to their 2012 Women’s Premier Soccer League (WPSL) roster. Joining the Eastern Washington team are Julissa Rodriguez of New Mexico Highlands University and Taryn McClendon from Scottsdale Community College in Arizona. The Western New York Flash announced that they have re-signed McCall Zerboni and Alex Sahlen for the 2012 Women’s Premier Soccer League (WPSL) Elite League season. The two players were a part of the Flash’s 2011 Women’s Professional Soccer (WPS) Championship squad. The Women’s Premier Soccer League (WPSL) has announced the addition of United FC Binghamton to the growing ranks of the 70 plus team league. The upstate New York-based club will compete in the East-Northeast Division and will draw players from top regional colleges, including Binghamton University, Ithaca College and Hartwick University. United FC Binghamton is aligned with United FC, a recently developed youth club. The team will be coached by Shane Cook, who is also Director of Coaching at United FC.

In preparation for the 2012 season, Shine has added Washington native Maggie Schrader, returning defender Morgan Roesler, Roesler’s South Carolina State University (SCSU) teammates Darci Nicole Smith and Kaitlynn Penner, defender Lisa Robertson and midfielder Alyssa Saucedo to the team. Center back Schrader, who grew up in Spanaway and attended Clover Park High School, is a senior at University of the Incarnate Word in San Antonio, Texas.
