Mount Union (1-2) scored the only goal of the game late in the first half after senior Carolyn Balzano set up freshman Nicole Lanese for her first career goal.
Kenyon (0-3) outshot the Purple Raiders 29-6 but could not find the back of the net as they dropped their third straight match.
Sophomore goalie Paige Freel collected eight saves and earned her first career shutout.
Mount Union next travels to Bluffton Wednesday, September 9 at 3 pm.
