Sophomore Shannon Evans scored her fifth goal of the season in Mount Union’s 1-0 victory over Geneva College Saturday in Beaver Falls, PA.
Evans’ goal came during the early 12th minute of play and would hold through the remainder of play action.
The Purple Raiders would outshot the Golden Tornadoes 7-6, while junior Maria Favorite notched a new career high fifth shutout, and having three saves on the day.
The Raiders improve to 6-1-1 on the season, while Geneva falls to 3-3.
Mount Union travels to Grove City (PA), when they play at 4 p.m. against Grove City College on Wednesday, Sept. 25.
