Reds Choose Admiral

Home/U.S. Soccer Leagues/NPSL/Reds Choose Admiral

Rhode Island Reds have chosen Admiral® to be the club’s official sportswear and technical kit supplier for their inaugural 2013 season. The Reds play in the Atlantic Conference of the National Premier Soccer League, the 4th tier of the U.S. soccer pyramid, one of the largest leagues in the United States with over 60 men’s teams.

Admiral, the world’s oldest British football brand, supplied kits in the 1970s and 1980s for the English national team and Manchester United. The brand has a long history in the United States as well, having supplied kits for the Tampa Bay Rowdies, New York Cosmos, Rochester Lancers and Vancouver Whitecaps in the original North American Soccer League (NASL). Today the brand is also worn by the 2012 NASL Champions Tampa Bay Rowdies and last year’s 2011 NASL Champions the Minnesota Stars as well as Caribbean Champions the Puerto Rico Islanders.  Admiral supplies many NPSL teams, youth teams, and associations throughout the USA.

“You’ll see Admiral is returning to the field in leagues across America. Rhode Island are one of many NPSL teams we’re working with this season,” Admiral Soccer CEO Paul Hamburger stated. “As the team focus on being the best they can be, we’re focused on making them look and feel the best so they play the best.”

“Admiral is the world’s oldest soccer brand, and we’re proud to partner with them in our inaugural season,” Reds Owner Kabba Joof said. “Admiral are focused on soccer in the community so working with them fits with our goals. They’re passionate about soccer and so are we.”

Rhode Island Reds will unveil their new Admiral kits to fans and media in April.
