Amberley Publishing has found their niche in the publishing world by offering thoughtful texts on all levels of the beautiful game.  They put out everything from Man U and Man City titles for the masses to AFC Wimbledon and Rotherham United titles for the hardcore supporters.

Bristol Rovers: The Official Definitive History by Stephen Byrne and Mike Jay is just that, definitive.  It features over 400 pages of history for the diehard Rovers supporter.  There is no arguing with the fact that this is a great club, one with a lot of stories 130+ years in the making.  Byrne and Jay do a commendable job telling those stories and capturing the spirit of the club and its players.

You feel closer to the club after reading this title since it more than just a simple reference title or textbook.  It’s a complete history, one that includes one of a kind  photographs and a plethora of statistics.

I promise you won’t find a better book about Bristol Rovers anywhere as these two authors are obviously the best at what they do, which is talking about Bristol Rovers. Most of the content found in this book can’t be found elsewhere, the result of excellent research that surely took years to complete.

If you live the game, then be sure to check out Amberley Publishing for some great football titles.  You might get lucky and find that they have a book about your favorite club.  Wouldn’t that be something?
