Three Internationals Soccer Club players have been called up for a U.S. Under-18 Women’s National Team training camp at the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Chula Vista, California.  Goalkeeper Gabrielle Kouzelos, defender Olivia Petit, and midfielder Sydney Dawson were among the 26 players chosen for this important event.

“We are extremely proud of Gabby, Olivia, and Sydney for their selection to the U-18 WNT camp,” Internationals SC Director of Coaching Keri Sarver commented.  “It is a well-deserved achievement based on their consistent performances over the past year.  They are excellent role models for our younger club members, and we are happy to have them representing our club at the national level.”

The goal for this age group is to ultimately qualify for the 2018 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup which will be held in France.

“I’m beyond thankful for getting a call up with the U-18 national team,” Kouzelos added. “It blows my mind every time I get to a camp because I am representing my country, which is truly an honor. Not only am I representing my country, but my teammates and my coach are there with me. It’s a special thing to have people who developed me as a player alongside me while we train and play for the U.S. It leaves me in awe of how amazing the club is and what a unique opportunity it is to represent your country.”

The U-18s will face the WPSL’s Beach FC Women on Friday, cSeptember 9th, at Long Beach State with a kickoff at 2 p.m. PT.
